Champion Ragchewer

If you’re a ham in the Chicago area, there is a good chance you’ve worked my friend Mitch, WV9MJS. Despite physical challenges (blindness, and loss of a leg), Mitch maintains a powerful radio presence from his home in Des Plaines Illinois, showing kindness toward seasoned operators, and Elmering (mentoring, for the non hams out there) new members in the radio fraternity.

Though Mitch has a box stuffed with QSL cards from around the globe, he is currently on hiatus from the HF bands, tickling the aether on the very and ultra high frequencies. It’s always a pleasure to work Mitch’s station.

Mitch is a great friend and highly skilled radio operator with a ton of knowledge, and knows how to keep people engaged in lively conversation. This author has spent countless days and hours with Mitch, all of them enjoyable and memorable.

    Yup, Mitch is cool.

This guy is a total psychotic, has mental issues, and storms repeater with interference and interruptions. What did he pay you all to say such nice things about such a moron?

    • John says:

Greg, I believe it’s N9VU that’s storming the repeaters, using recordings of Mitch. An easy test of this is to go sit on a public road near his ULS address when “Mitch” is on local repeater, 145.410 (input 144.810). Listen with no antenna on your radio and be the judge.

      • Gary Bernstein says:

Well John, thanks so much for the accusation. Your words and flatchulence have been dually noted. Accusations like this can be subject to a lawsuit against you. Have a nice life……………moron.

Dead or alive, this guy was a menace and a disgrace to Ham Radio (whatever is left of it). How you all go about praising someone like this is beyond me. I guess this is the standard of Amateur Radio today. WEAK.
